Family- I recently found my 2nd grade class picture with Gloria’s beaming smile and was reminded how lucky I was to grow up with her at Sunnyslope, Royal Palm, and even RE Miller. While I remember many of her achievements, her warmth, sense of humor, and hair twirling are what I remember most. I often think of Gloria as the ideal role model while raising my own daughter and will always value the great memories I have of her. |

I'm
horrified to learn about Gloria's death. She was an amazing human
being. Her energy and enthusiasm were so contagious... and that smile!!
She brought out the best in all of us. I had the chance to catch up with Gloria at our high school reunion a few years ago, but hadn't seen her since. Strangely, about a week and a half ago, while cleaning out my mom's house, I found some tiny little photos we all exchanged at 8th grade graduation. I spent some time sharing them with my 8-year old daughter and told her all about Gloria and how she was such a role model throughout our elementary and high school years. It is just tragic that her life was cut short. My deepest sympathies to her family. |

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Gloria's tragic death. My heart aches for her family, especially her children. The last time I saw Gloria was at our 20-year high school reunion in 2002, where she was the same fun-loving, kind person I knew growing up. Her energetic, smiling, enthusiastic soul will live on in the hearts of all that knew her.

Gloria, I and my two sisters were room mates in a little house in Santa Clara in the late 1980's. We had many wonderful, fun memories of your young adult years together. I got married and ironically ended up living in the same town with her and her boys in Los Altos. Although we hardly saw each other but in March of 2004 some of her new friends, couple of old friends and us three sisters went out to a Mexican restaurant "La Fiesta" to celebrate her 40th birthday... That was the last time I saw Gloria. I miss Gloria and her upbeat, high energy, competitive, loud, and easily excitable spirit. I pray that her parents, sisters, and her boys will find peace in their hearts and celebrate the wonderful memories of Gloria.

I am shocked. It is difficult to even put thoughts together. Gloria's family should know that many people would share the same recollections that I do of someone who always treated people with respect and would brighten up a room. I'm sad that I lost touch with Gloria over the years but it doesn't change my memories of her as a truly wonderful person.

Although I had not seen Gloria in at least twenty years, word of her tragic passing left me practically in a state of shock. I recalled this genuinely warm and upbeat person, with a smile that seemed to burst from her very center. Perhaps the oddest (and most telling) memory I have of Gloria is always being surprised that she wasn't taller. She seemed tall. Every conversation one had with her was recalled as taking place at eye-level. It was inconceivable that so much energy, joy and intelligence could be packaged inside a girl of such modest stature... She shall remain huge in all our hearts.

I did not know Gloria, but it appears to me that the world has lost a bright and promising soul. My prayers go out to her children. May God give them strength.

I'm saddened beyond words to learn that Gloria is not spreading her boundless joy, energy and love to the world. I'm glad to have known her and look back fondly on our days in college.

I'm quite saddened to see Gloria's obituary in the paper today. Although we have not corresponded since our days at the U of A, it still strikes hard to see someone you know, and someone so full of life, pass away so young. Please accept my condolances.
